Why I Believe Family Photos Should Take Things Off Your Plate, Not Add to Your To-Do List

As moms, we’re often the ones making sure everything gets done.

We’re scheduling appointments, packing diaper bags, coordinating family calendars, remembering birthdays, planning vacations, and somehow keeping everyone’s lives moving forward.

We’re usually the ones taking the photos too—capturing milestones, documenting everyday moments, and making sure everyone else’s memories are preserved.

But too often, when it comes to family photos, the experience feels like one more thing to manage.

Finding outfits.

Choosing a location.

Figuring out what time works best.

Worrying about whether the kids will cooperate.

Deciding what to do with the photos afterward.

That’s exactly why I’ve built my photography experience to be as full-service as possible.

I don’t want your session to become another item on your already overflowing to-do list. I want it to feel like something you can look forward to.

When you book with me, I’ll help narrow down location options that fit your vision so you aren’t spending hours researching. I’ll provide styling guidance and give you access to my client wardrobe, helping take the stress out of finding something to wear. Before your session, I’ll send helpful tips and information so you can arrive feeling prepared and confident.

Then, when session day arrives, I want you to forget about the camera.

Play with your children.

Cuddle your babies.

Dance together.

Laugh at the chaos.

Be present with the people you love most.

My goal isn’t to create perfectly posed images. It’s to create space for connection while I document the moments that matter.

And because I believe your memories deserve to live beyond a screen, I also offer heirloom albums and fine art prints designed for busy families. Instead of leaving you with hundreds of digital files and another project to complete someday, I can create a custom album design for you to review and enjoy for years to come.

The truth is, most moms are the historians of their families. You’re the one making sure the memories are kept.

You deserve to be in those memories, too.

That’s why my Indianapolis family sessions are about so much more than photographs. They’re about giving you the opportunity to step into the frame, be fully present with your family, and leave with tangible memories you’ll cherish long after these fleeting seasons have passed.
